KIRTAN

Kirtan is a devotional music made to connect our hearts to the spirit of divinity.  Many of us in western culture have been taught to approach music as entertainment, but kirtan shows us that it can be so much more.  Through chanting the holy names we can make an offering of sound to those forces that govern our world and call us to rise towards a more enlightened version of ourselves.  We love to offer this special musical gathering to inspire one another to use their voice to celebrate the deities and the gift of life.  Matt and Hillary host a kirtan event called Songs of Devotion on the last Sunday of every month at Golden Drum in Greenpoint Brooklyn.
